Merry Christmas Y'all! And a Blessed New Year

Sister Brown and I in our Chrirstmas Pj's my mom got us Hello! I hope everyone had a magical Christmas! Christmas In Louisiana was so much more fun than I thought it'd be.  I finally broke out of the MTC and away from the sorta okay food, and made it to Louisiana! Me, and the four others from my district in the MTC made it to the mission president's home and had the best dinner ever, and then he told us who our companions would be and where we would be going. My companion is Sister Brown, and we are serving in Natchitoches! Or Nack-i-dish, if you want to know how to pronounce it. It's three and a half hours away from Baton Rouge, and in the middle of nowhere pretty much. On that three and a half hour drive I saw a dead alligator so I knew that I was going to love it here. It's like Ephraim Utah, but a little bit bigger. But it's so pretty up here! There is a finger lake that runs through it and it's known for its Christmas lights that line the rive

Last P-day in The MTC

Hello everyone! I hope you all had really great weeks! I finally got over my cold, I have a lingering cough but it's not bad. Not being sick makes being here much easier to endure and enjoy. This is my last Pday in the MTC! and my last P day until Christmas. That is really weird. It doesn't feel like Christmas. Probably because there is no snow, we aren't allowed to listen to Christmas music, and the decorations we got from some sisters that left last week are really pathetic.  So every Sunday in the MTC you have to have two five minute talks prepared on some topics they give you, and then when sacrament meeting starts, they announce the program, and that's who you know is speaking in church that day. My name was called, of course, and I had to speak on faith. So I get up there and I say, "good morning brothers and sisters" and I'm like, oh oops, dang. "sorry, Elders and sisters." so that was really embarrassing. Then I keep going, talking ab

I hope all is well at home, I think about you and pray for you every day. This week was crazy! I made it through my first Sunday and it was nuts. Sunday: We were running from meeting to meeting and it was also fast Sunday! I want everyone to know that I fasted from 6:30 am, to 6 pm and it was probably the hardest, and coolest thing I've ever done. We had Mission Conference, so everyone gathered in the gym and we talked about the Light of Christ and the Light the World project! I hope all of you are trying so hard to watch the videos every night and planning what you'll do for the next day! I came out of that meeting with this overpowering love for my Savior, and I was so excited to tell all of you!  After that meeting I wanted everyone to love Christ with that same power and love I had and now, have for him. Don't get me wrong, I've always loved my savior, I just wish I could describe that feeling to you. I wanted everyone to love Christ so much, I wanted everyon

HELLO OUTSIDE WORLD It has been a crazy few days here at the MTC, and it's crazy that it's only been a few days. Feels like I've been here a week. My district and I have decided that this is what we imagine spirit prison to feel like. So please, got to the temple and do some work! My companion is Sister Peck! She's from Texas, going to serve in Logan Utah and has one of the strongest testimonies I've heard. She is super outgoing, and always makes sure that we sit next to new Elders or sisters every meal. So I'm making friends fast. We both have a goal to do some form of exercise every day, but we both hate running so I know that God put us together for a reason. there are 8 people in my district including me, four elders, four sisters. for everyone wondering, Elder Jones is in my district and he was just made District Leader last night. Sister Peck and I are the only two in the branch without callings, which is nice because I'm stressed out enou
