At the lights by the river front
Hey y'all! I hope your week has been great! A couple things before I get started. my next p day will be on Jan. 16th because of MLK day, and then again on the 24th of Jan. because we have Elder Costa coming for mission conference.

This is gonna be a short email because not that much happened.

We met with a lady about a week ago and we set up an appointment to come back and just pray with her. So we came back, but before we went inside Sister Brown told me that I should pray and challenged me to pray by the spirit. So we go in and get to know her a little better, then we all kneel to pray and hold hands and I know that what I said was entirely led by the spirit. it was so cool to feel and be lead by the spirit who knew what she needed to hear. I challenge you all to pray being led by the spirit.

On Friday we went to a members house for dinner and watched a conference talk by Thomas S. Monson from before he was prophet. It's called The Faith of a Child. From October 1975. It's about a member in our ward's cousin. He talks about Natchitoches!! The spirit in the room was so incredible. I love watching him speak. I miss him so much but I know that we have another prophet of God on the earth today. I know that Joseph Smith is a true prophet and I am so grateful for him. Please watch that talk! It was so amazing!

On Saturday we went to the church to give someone a tour so he'd be a little more comfortable with coming. We had one of his friends from school who is also in our ward come as well. It was a lot of fun and we felt the spirit really strong. We invited him to come to church with us and he seemed really interested! After that we went to help a lady take down her Christmas decorations. And because it's been so cold lately, they've all been inside.

Sunset without mountains, much prettier in person
